Natalie is a Professor in the Faculty of Education and Social Work at Thompson Rivers University. She is a Métis researcher who examines First Nations and Métis child and youth healing responses to trauma and violence. She is engaged in multiple research projects that utilize Indigenous methodologies and community based participatory frameworks. Her collaborative research explores youth wellness in rural and remote communities and small cities in Canada. Courtney and Natalie collaborate on both a SSHRC Insight Grant (2018-2023) and the Ombaashi: Indigenous Mentorship Program (CIHR).
