Cristhina is a biologist raised in the Andean mountains of Colombia. Inspired by growing up in such a breathtaking environment, she pursued her undergraduate studies in biology. In 2018, she pursued a master’s degree in environmental impact assessment, where she honed her skills in monitoring watersheds and air quality, especially in industrial settings throughout Colombia.

In 2023, Cristhina landed in Canada with a clear mission in mind: to develop a project focused on conserving native ecosystems, mitigating climate change, and addressing environmental impacts caused by industry. Her approach emphasizes active engagement with local communities and stakeholders, ensuring that environmental management strategies are inclusive and effective. She completed her masters in 2025 on examining carbon sequestration models and carbon offset programs in Wells Gray Provincial Park under the supervision of Dr. Courtney Mason.
