James graduated from the University of Surrey with a Bachelor of Tourism Management in 2017. He has worked as a research assistant for the implementation of EU-funded projects. James also has a passion for wildlife and volunteers at a local wildlife rehabilitation centre. These experiences led him to undertake the Erasmus Mundus European Masters in Tourism Management, a joint degree focusing on sustainable tourism, taught in Denmark, Slovenia and Spain, of which TRU is an associated partner. Courtney supervised James’ thesis, which focused on the conservation and touristic potential of wildlife rehabilitation centres in British Columbia. James completed his masters in 2019.
