Jordyn completed a Bachelor’s of Sciences (Hons) in Ecology at the University of Guelph, and a Juris Doctor at the University of Victoria with a focus on Environmental Law. She was called to the bar in BC after finishing a practicum year working in a variety of public law areas. Her academic areas of interest include conservation and restoration biology, land-use management, and how policies and legal structures govern human-environment interaction. Jordyn was awarded the Canada Graduate Scholarship (SSHRC) for 2021-2022 and defended her thesis on species at risk legislation in March 2024. She now works as a Research Associate in the Rural Livelihoods and Sustainable Communities Lab.
